Within the Archival Library of Cazenmarr sits a very old parchment from the ancient times. It reads:
"During the time of the Ring of Kings, there sat not only men on the council, but also other races. The greatest of these others was the dragons, represented by their king. He came in the form of a man, a beautiful man with silvery skin and jet black hair that hung behind his head to his midback. His true form was of a size beyond human comprehension, far too large to allow for secrecy and discreteness. The Ring only knew him as Daar'di'Shio, which translates to "King of All", though his draconic name was much longer. For years this great beast sat at the table, addressing issues that concerned them all, the whole land and beyond. But soon, the barbarians took over, and the Ring fell. Even with the help of the dragons, many had turned to the barbarians side, the large bribes too large to deny. Many of Daar'di'Shio's people were killed fighting their brothers in race, and the rage grew within him. On the last stand of the humans at the fortress of the Ring, he was defeated, his own race unable to kill him, but not fearing to punish him for not joining them.
Since that faithful day, Daar'di'Shio had remained in hiding, regaining his strength and calming the great rage that had overcome him, causing him to slay his own kind so mercilessly. And it was on his dying day, the day where his body could no longer resist the call of time itself, he summoned the Alliance leaders before him. Though it was only a fledgling force at this time, Daar'di'Shio believed it would succeed. Though he felt he could not help them in combat himself, he explained of a way he could help them indirectly.
And after his parting only days later, the people of the Alliance did as he asked. They performed a grand ritual, asking the gods of man and dragon alike to accept the soul of the great dragon king to rest with them. The rituals took many days, and after, just as promised, the men began their work. The Great Dragon had promised them his body, for he no longer had any use for it. Such was the way of nature he had said. He told them to use his scales for armor and shields, as his scales were large and numerous. He told them to use his bones for great structures, for his bones were strong even in his ancient age. Every part was used for the good of the Alliance, the people, and the land that Daar'di'Shio loved so dearly."
Added on the parchment is a newer one, which reads:
"We of the Alliance know that our ancient ally, Daar'di'Shio would be proud to know we have done as he asked. Using his scales, we have made armor and shields for all of our Von Guard troops, with enough more to suit ten generations to come. With his bones, he have built the Great Library as well as most of the other structures on the ever expanding Council Grounds. We have done as he asked, and honoured him as he was in life, and honour him still in death for what he has done for our cause."
