This mountain range stretches from the northeast to southwest edge of the Guild's island with a gentle curve. The Citadel of Shadows is nestled quite closely to the Range, for protection, as it is impassible without having known it for years.

This great forest stands at the fringe of the wide grasslands in front of the Citadel, much of which is farmland. The Guild controls most of the forest interior, and every acolyte learns to navigate within it, providing excellent advantage in case of attack.

Across the plains from the forest, from the top of the Serendith Tower, a brief strip of sand is visible to those with keen vision. Nobody could guess the thousands of miles of sand laying beyond, a deathtrap for any invading army, adding yet another natural defense to the Guild's arsenal.

These seas around the Guild are patrolled by their ships, allowing merchants who wish to come to the Guild, as well as refugees, to make their way there. For the majority of humans, the walk to the nearest sea, ignoring natural obstructions and traveling the plains the whole way, is 9 days at the least, so the swiftest among the Guild are generally charged with using runs to the harbour settlement as training. In matters of urgency, the mages can teleport.

These lands mark the edges of the Guild's territory, beyond which safety cannot be assured. Patrolled by vigilant guards and hunting parties, for acolytes who seldom leave the grounds, these lands seem the very edges of existence.
